Beauty Treatment is The Essential Part of Life
Beauty Treatment should be the essential part of life. Without it, the continuity of life in this world will be under threat of extinction. Even when there was no exchange of money or trade involved, our ancient ancestors regularly spend time together to groom each other. It is their way to show affection towards others. This kind of routine has a significant impact on their survival as a community.
Love Yourself and Be Confident with Who You Are
Human beings, be them male or female or other; all have the desire to look good and attractive. Looking and feeling good about ourself is the best medicine in life. It helps prevent and reduce the risk for many diseases. Most importantly, it will improve the quality of life, for us and others around us.
Nevertheless, it should never be about searching for perfection. Looking and feeling good is about loving yourself and being confident with who you are. Everyone of us is very unique and different. The global population is estimated to reach 7.7 billions in 2019 and yet there are no two identical people. We don't need to fight hard to find our place in this world, we just need to be ourselves.
Why Natural Skincare is Better?
At the beginning, nature has provided all creatures with what they need for living. However, the tendency of human beings wanting to have much more than we need has destroyed this balance. There have been many inventions that deemed to be great but they don't actually improve the quality of life. In fact, few are the major contributors to unhappiness and emptiness in the life of many people.
For almost 2 decades, I have been experimenting with many skincare ingredients both natural and high-tech ones. After seeing the results and looking at countless research papers, I decided to use natural ingredients as much as possible. I am not at all against science and technology. I love science and technology, however, I select skincare ingredients purely for their skin benefits.
There are three reasons why I believe that natural skincare ingredients (particularly botanical extracts) are better than synthetic ingredients:
1. Therapeutic Plants have been tried and tested for a much longer period
Blue Chamomile has been used for its anti-inflammatory (soothing) benefits for many thousands of years. In comparison with synthetic ingredients, Blue Chamomile has a much longer safety and therapeutic record. It is one of the best skincare ingredients for sensitive skin.
2. Therapeutic Plants contain more therapeutic substances than man-made ingredients
There are more than 300 phyto-chemicals found in Rose ectract. Unlike synthetic ingredients that are often not compatible one with another, the natural substances in Rose extract work in harmony to safeguard the existence of the rose plants. Many of these phytochemicals are contributing to the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of Rose extract. The same logic explains why there is no substitute to fruits and vegetables. There is no supplement that can match the health benefits of eating whole foods that nature has provided us with.
Rose extract is the ingredient behind award winning Rose & Cacay Hydrating Serum Cream. This light yet ultra hydrating formula can be used as a serum or a moisturiser. All skin types from ageing to acne-prone skin can benefit from using this two-in-one serum cream. It helps smooth and plump up the appearance of skin.
3. Results speak louder than words (Seeing is Believing)
Since I was a kid, I have been very passionate about skincare. I have tried as many products as I could get in the past. I have learned hard way that in the long run, natural skincare products deliver better results. Seeing is Believing!
Nothing look better on us than a healthy skin. If ever synthetic ingredients can deliver better results than natural ingredients, we will all live on pills and tablets rather than eating fruits, vegetables and meats.
However, as much as I am a massive fan of natural ingredients, I will never rule out to use synthetic ingredients if they are proven to be better and there isn't any natural alternative.
The Cruelty-Free Vegan Beauty
Beauty, particularly in the context of human beings, is often associated with being glamorous or high maintenance or superficial. However, beauty is supposed to be being comfortable with ourselves and being kind to others. Treat others like you want them to treat you.
I believe that the concept of cruelty-free, vegan living shouldn't be only about eating plants or plant-based foods. Being kind to animals is just an artificial mask if it is not accompanied by kind acts towards other human beings.
The Key to A Better Skin is A Kinder World
Life is not perfect and no one or nothing is perfect. As much as I love the concept of cruelty-free vegan living, I still occasionally choose to eat non-vegan foods. I am amazed with those who can maintain an extremely high standard of kindness towards other human beings and all sort of creatures at all times.
Being kind towards others helps preserve the world around us. The less damage made to the world around us, the healthier it is for us to live in.
Pollution is known to be one of the major causes of premature ageing including skin ageing. Therefore, the key to have a better skin is simply by being kinder to ourselves, others and the world around us. Before we can genuinely forgive others, we have to forgive ourselves.
Healthy skin is the most beautiful skin regardless of the colour and age. Skin is the largest organ that acts as a barrier between our body and the world around us. It can only be healthy if we live in a healthy environment. After all, perhaps the cruelty-free living is in fact the new gold-standard of natural beauty? What do you think?
